Hotel Gruenberger - Berchtesgaden

The hotel's breakfast had a good selection, and the packed lunch for our hike was excellent. It would be beneficial to provide better room options and more customer care.

The hotel is clean and fairly large, has accommodating staff and marvellous location in great tourist area. The rooms are bright and spotless, have hypo-allergenic pillows. There is an in-house restaurant on site.

Got guest room with all beds in the same area as expected, really enjoyed it.

Staying here for two nights as a couple was a pleasant experience. The indoor swimming pool was a hit with the kids, while we enjoyed the stunning views from our balcony.

Here's the good and the not-so-good

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection was vast and satisfying, and the pool area was both clean and spacious.

No air conditioning was a downside, and opening windows to relieve the heat meant dealing with street noise. Limited dining options with the restaurant closed in the evenings was also disappointing.

Competent staff, PICTURESQUE views on the town, everything is superb. The rooms are a nice size with very clean beds and smoke detectors. The services are exceptional, including a lovely pool. Btw parking is possible on site. The dinner in the in-house restaurant is what you need.

Quiet location for our visit to a Berchtesgaden national park around 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. Right by a bus stop, very relaxing area.

The location is super convenient, just a five-minute walk to the bus station. Breakfast had a great selection, and our room was spacious and clean with a lovely river view. The dining room even had an outdoor area to enjoy the scenery after a long day.

Hotel gruenberger offers a warm welcome with helpful staff, especially the man at the front desk who provided converters when we needed them. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with a healthy variety to choose from. The location is perfect, just a short drive from downtown, and there's free use of the sauna and pool, which we loved.

The spacious room featured a balcony overlooking the river, offering a pleasant view. The pool area was a bit cold for adult comfort, and there were issues with unruly children in the dining area . Service at dinner was notably slow, with meals taking far too long to arrive.

The breakfast was a delight, with cheeses and meats that our whole family enjoyed. Plus, the cozy room was clean, and the view from our balcony overlooking the river was beautiful! It did get quite hot , and the lack of air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable at night.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bus and train station. The extensive breakfast selection kept us full throughout our busy days, and we loved spending evenings enjoying the gorgeous views from our balcony.

The restaurant was closed in the evenings, limiting dining options at the hotel.

This was just a perfect match for a city trip in Berchtesgaden with excellent value for money. The staff were very accommodating, helping to set up dinner reservations on short notice, a pleasant surprise. Try to get a room with a view, it makes a big difference!
